Broken Welds in Front!

I wanted to thank the members who told me to go to my dealership over a dresser counter top that sunk about 1 inch in the upper bedroom on my 2003 Montana fifth wheel. The dealership found two broken welds between the side studs and the floor plate on the driver's side and 4-5 more broken welds on the curb side. The dealership took pictures and forwarded them to the factory. The dealership was waiting to see if the factory wanted the repairs to occur locally or back at the factory. The only thing that I can say is "keep an eye on the front corners of the Montana and, if something shifts, contact your dealership/factory. Thanks again!

Wow!! Pretty scary. Be sure to keep us all informed on the outcome. At least you noticed this before it got worse or caused the unthinkable.

Art, another symptom is front molding that keeps separating for no apparent reason. Or a bedroom slide that is cockeyed. We got ours fixed at the factory.

I am so sorry to hear that Art (my worst nightmare).

Keep in mind, at this point hitching up and towing will only aggravate the damage, as your floor is now pushing up inbetween the walls. Continued road travel will put extreme stress on the bedroom slide (develop cracks in the fylon siding), forward closet and TV cabinet area. The weight of the trailer pushing down while the floor pushes up will continue to destroy the interior. If possible, find out if Keystone will ship it to the factory! They offered on mine on a flatbed to the factory for a much more minor frame problem.
