Antenna Leak

I have an 02 305FKS. Every time I have an strong rain I have water leaking in from the antenna handle.I went up top checked all of the sealant everything looked ok. I went ahead and removed old sealant and resealed still have the same problem. Is there o-rings in the handle assembly. How do I replace?

Check that the "Boot" cover the antenna wire goes through into the roof is properly seated on the tube, if it is not it will allow water to enter. You might want to put a dab of silicone on it.

drut68,
This is a common problem. When the O-rings dry out they become brittle and can be the cause of leakage if you run into heavy rain. The address below will take you to the Winegard site for the Winegard Sensar antennas and open an Adobe document for their Installation and Operations manual. The procedures for replacing and maintaining those O-rings is in that document.

http://www.winegard.com/mobile/pdf/2452013.pdf

I hope this helps.
Good luck.

The "boot" on the coaxial cable was the culprit on ours. I used a little sealant on it and pushed it back down. No leaks since and it's been 4 years.

We had a few drips on our last trip out, so I climbed up to take a look and the coaxial boot had come off. Hopefully this has rectified the problem.
