Paint choice

I'm thinking about spray painting the metal trim that goes from the bottom of the sides to the underside of the frame. I've seen some newer ones where these panels are painted black or a dark color.

Just wondering if any one has done this before, and if so, what type of paint you used. I'm thinking of something like a textured, matte, or hammered type finish to hide what imperfections there are.

And since removing the decals from the entry door took a little paint off in spots, I'll probably remove and paint it too.

Paint

Years ago I painted the skirt on my 27’ Alpenlite gold with hammered finish. Spray paint from Lowe’s. DW and I thought it was killer! We bought it used and redid the interior floors and pink fabrics with a denim/ cowboy theme. We had fun doing it.

DW and I painted ours. We took propane door off and took it to Lowes to color match the tan color. It is a paint for metal and outdoors. We rolled it on with fine nap roller and it looks great. When camping and returning back to camper DW always mentions how great an idea I had to paint ours. I removed fenders and mask it up well. She did most of the painting. Will try to post pictures later today or tomorrow.

As promised photos. I also replaced the ugly white horizontal plastic molding with black. DW likes it and that is who matters.
