Tow Vehicle and Montana Weighing
If you want to know how much your tow vehicle (TV) and Montana weigh as well as your pin weight then this is for you.
Trey and Susan Selman, Weighing Specialist with RV Safety and Education Foundation will be available to weigh your TV and Montana when you arrive for the Montana Fall Rally in September. They will be available to weigh early arrivals 17-18 Sept as well as those who arrive 19-22 Sep. They will not be able to stay until the end of the rally to weigh during departures due to a prior engagement.
As an RV owner, it helps to understand your vehicle safety ratings and know if the weight of your Montana setup is within the vehicle safety ratings and tire capacities.
For more information on the weighing process and to make arrival appointments, please visit the Montana Rally page at www.RVSafety.com. If you plan to arrive outside the dates mentioned above, please contact them directly to see if they can work something out.
To get an accurate weight you should arrive for weighing with a full tank of gas and all passengers that travel with you. This includes your four legged passengers.
Please do not reply to this post for an appointment. You must go to:
www.RVSafety.com to make an appointment.

Please clarify. Their weighing registration page states: "RV Weighing will be done as you arrive at the fairgrounds (before the rally) on Monday, September 17th and Tuesday, September 18th." There's no mention of any other dates for weighing."
The only two dates offered to schedule a weigh are the 17th and 18th.
Sincerely, Confused

Is there a charge for this? Do they weigh each wheel separately?

Just signed up... Yes. $60.00 payable w/cash or check at time of weighing.
If you would like a second weight check after load adjustments etc. it will be an additional $60.00.
YUCK! They give you HOMEWORK, too!

Caniel. We noticed the dates. I have notified the weigh team of the requirement for more days. We hope to have this resolved soon.
Loneoak. Price is $60.00 for both TV and rig. They weigh each wheel separately.
Arkware. Good thanks.

The RVSEF site has been updated to reflect weigh in dates to read 17-20 Sep. See you at the rally.

I was clearly happy to get ours done by them in December in Buda, Tx. while heading to Canyon of the Eagles. It only took a few minutes and I was able to top off my fuel across the street while unhooked. They are a great crew and yes, $60 is correct. You get a report that looks like
It was an education that the refrigerator wheel was the most loaded and also prompted me to rearrange some tools and such.

Trey and Susan weighed us on our first trip and they were so patient with us, as we knew nothing at all about RV-ing. Highly recommended!!

Do we keep the "Homework Sheet" until arrival or are we supposed to send with check somewhere?

Chris P,
Keep the homework sheet and bring it with you to your weigh in appointment. You will pay at the time you are weighed (check or cash)

According to the instructions in e-mail I received from them, they asked that the completed weigh form be e-mailed back to them.

To all who have signed up to have their TV/Rig weighed. You will go into Gate 3 to be weighed first. Once you are in the gate look to the right and in the large parking lot you should see the weigh team. Go to where they are and get weighed. Once your unit is weighed pull your rig out of the way and go into the office to register.
The weigh team said they would put up signs to give directions to all those having their truck and rig weighed. If not follow my instructions.
