Outside Shower/faucet stopped working

So we went out for the first time since Thanksgiving. I winterized everything last fall exactly like I have for the last 4 years. When I turned on the outside faucet in the convenience area, nothing. Not one drop of water. Everything else was pressured up and working fine. It is one like this,
http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/3115533...&ul_noapp=true which is probably the standard. I unthreaded the stainless quick connect and took out the little plastic part and spring and turned on the pressure but still nothing. I put it back together and plugged in the flexible hose from the outside kitchen and still nothing. Does anybody know what might be going on? I can't find a single write up about it anywhere.

There is a check valve in both the hot and cold side faucet assembly. If the faucet hasn't been operated in a while, maybe they are both stuck closed. You will have to remove the faucet from the wall, but you just have to loosen these valves to make the water flow.

The hose must be firmly seated in the quick disconnect to allow water to pass thru. Maybe it is just not seating all the way. I know mine can be contrary sometimes. Might try a little lube on it.

Thanks for the suggestions. At first the quick connect didn't seem to be seated. That is why I removed the quick connect and I assumed with it removed the faucet should work like a normal faucet, but it still didn't. When I tried the one from the outdoor kitchen it seated really easy but still no water. I guess the next step then is to remove the faucet and see if the valves are stuck closed from the anti-freeze. That stuff is pretty sticky and I can see how it may cause a problem. I guess if that doesn't do it I will be ordering a new faucet.

I assume all the other faucets are working correctly?

Yes, everything else is working as it should. Just no water from the faucet in the convenience area. I always use it to hose off any spillage when I hook and unhook my sewer lines and if I need to spray something off outside. It worked perfect before winter storage.

I finally got time to fix the faucet. Maybe this will help someone out someday. I had to remove the wall panel from the basement storage to get to the back of the faucet. I removed the faucet and took it to the workbench. It turns out that both check valves inside the the faucet supply lines were just stuck shut. I used a phillips screwdriver to push them from the back and they opened right up. Now I know what to do if it happens again. Next time I can just disconnect the supply lines and push on the valves without removing the faucet. I assume the sticky antifreeze is what caused it even though in 20 years, 5 years in this 5er, I have never seen this happen. Thanks for the help.
