Swivel Sewer Replacement

I'm beginning to hate the swivel sewer connection and would like to replace it. It looks like I can just remove it and glue the normal sewer hose connector to the existing PCV pipe.

Has anyone done this and if so, what are your suggestions or advice.

You don't say what year or model you have. We had the sewer boom and when it cracked, took it off, added a knife valve and a clear elbow with cap.

I liked my boom thing at first. But seems every other park had the dump in the wrong location so I finally just stopped using it and took the black slinky thing off in favor of a much more useful external gate valve.

There is a "normal sewer hose connector" already at the end of the pipe. Once you remove the boom it will be obvious. I do recommend an external gate valve whether you use the boom or not.

P.S. I love our boom and would not be without it.

I tried using the boom for a few months, but could only get a ten foot hose into it. That length isn't good for 80 percent of the places we go to, so I pulled it all off and put a Valtera twist on valve on the end with a cap. I added a fence post storage place along the frame (instead of across) and can put a twenty foot hose in it. All that's left is the big hose clamp and bracket, and I may end up cutting it off.

Replaced original tube with 46" from CW. Installed additional gate valve. Able to put close to 15' of rhino hose in it. Been working great for 4 years.
