All 3 dump valves stuck open 2008 2955RL
I just took delivery. The black and grey dump levers in the convenience center are stuck open. The other valve to the right is also stuck open. I assume this is another grey water valve. All three valves have cables attached. Keystone told me that it was a common problem and a major repair. CW told me it would take a lot of labor, but wouldn't give an estimate. Has anyone replaced their valves?

I have a suggestion. There is a housing with the shaft running through it that goes to the valve itself . Likely the problem is that rust has formed between the two. Remove the rear angled plastic wall from the service closet. Remove the handles and retainer nuts from shafts. Hold the flexible shafts so you can put rust penetrant down the housing , a little at a time , until no more will go in. Allow to sit for a while. Try them , if they move, work them until they free up.

Boy Howdy ... if you just took delivery, one would think the seller would have a bit of responsibility here as to the basic functions working.

"A common problem and a major repair"? Is this the '08 unit you list on your sig., or a new one? Whichever, someone left the valves open for a long time and it could just be a little rust in the cable housings. Best thing after using the penetrating oil would be some graphite stuff used on motorcycle control cables to lubricate them.

I would not call it a major repair, but it is unpleasant work. Underbelly needs to be dropped. Cable assemblies are readily available, sold by valve diameter and or cable run length. Including dropping the underbellys (mine is a two piece), cable replacement, and reinstalling the underbellies it took me most of a Saturday with a couple of beer breaks. I found the second grey tank assembly did not need to be replaced, but only needed to be reconnected at the valve. I also found cable runs in tight loops which did not help either as originally installed. Hopefully the dealer will stand up to his product and take care of you. Depending on your configuration, you might be able to bypass the whole cable system setup, leave existing valves open, and install separate valves after the original ones with direct pulls. Part guy where I bought the assemblies told me once rust has gotten a good start, rust will win the end.

What might concern me more is how long was that black tank discharge kept open. I would be extremely worried about there being about 2' of rock hard "stuff" stacked up inside that black tank. Can you take this rig back or get additional information on it?

I've had recent back surgery and limited on lifting and crawling under the unit. I had one of my employees force all three valves shut. The one on the frame is now opening and closing. I'm not sure what it controls.
I hope the tanks are completely empty. I'll find out tomorrow.

The one on the frame is most likely the galley tank for the kitchen sink.
