Rec Gas
Been having problems with gas ruining boat motor, weed eater, chainsaw and blower. There are ethonol free gas pumps still out there so I did find a web site that lists all of them in the US,
www.pure-gas.org I hope this helps everyone.

Typically, Marinas have E free fuel and 90 octane. A little bit more per gallon, but I use it in my Honda Gen and my small Tohatsu fishing motor.

I used that same site to find stations near me.
I buy ethonol free gas and I also put the additive that kills the ethonol just in case the station gets the tanks mixed up.

I use stabil in my boat, lawn tractor, chain saw, etc. Designed for storage, it takes care of the moisture that develops in the tank, which is the problem with ethanol. Only a problem for engines that are not run routinely; for example not a problem with a car driven daily, but not good for a boat used on the occasional weekend. There are other products out there, but stabil has worked well for us, and it is available everywhere. Best solution of course, is to use ethanol free gas. At Lake Gaston, where we have a house, ethanol has been a huge boom for boat dealers, and the repair work they get.

I think it is Alabama that has both types of gasoline available at the pump. The ethanol free was about .15 more than the other.

I had a weed eater succumb to the effects of ethanol gas, even using stabil during the winter months. The problem is in the hoses and fuel lines on the older models. I thought I came up with a rather innovative solution, I bought n electric one!! Our boat has handled the ethanol gas with no problems, but it was designed for 10% ethanol. If the government, in their wisdom, goes to 15%, then I will be doing some searching locally, I only know of one ethanol free station in the area. I did have a neighbor who purchased an older pontoon boat, and was not aware of the ruber hose issues, and within a month, the motor went up in flames.

we use ethanol treatment made by Lucas oil in all our equipment and the classic cars. It seems to be doing it's job,no water issues. I keep 5 gallons of gas at a time for the mower and add it to that. just recently one of the native gas stations just put in a separate pump with e-free gas so I am going to try that out this spring. Whenever that happens!!!

Just think it takes more energy to make a gallon of ethanol than we can get out of it using it in any type of engine. Add in all the repairs and replacing costs along with modifying fluids that we pay for due to the effects of ethanol and we have a real winner and its not the American public.
