6pt Level up....only stabilizers?
Picked up our Montana yesterday. Rep during walk thru tha the Lippert 6pt level system was to stabilize only. Keep weight on tires...block under tires to level side to side....
I am thinking that is not correct. Isn't the Lippert system equivalent to the leveling systems in Class A's

The 6 pt system levels and stabilizes just like the big boys. We had ours installed by Lippert and it does everything we hoped for and more. You'll love it.

Don't know who your dealer was salesman or the rep that did the walk-through with you obvious does not know what he is talking about or has never operated the 6 point leveling system. The system does just what it's name says- leveling system. It levels front to back and side to side period!

We have had our tires clear off the ground on one side a number times and the weight is always off the tires even when we're on level concrete. Our Level-up was an add on and installed and set by Lippert at their plant.

You might want to investigate what else this person told you that wasn't accurate.

I agree. I would have stopped the PDI at that point and asked for the owner/manager to get someone qualified to do it.

Congratulations on getting your new rig. How did it tow wtth the GMC?
We were also told to let weight on the tires and to do a rough level with blocks etc under the tires. I park on an unlevel spot at my home and have only had a problem 1time...the rear cylinder was out of stroke. Solved by putting my leveling blocks under that jack. We have used the level up several times and our tires have never been off the ground..YET. but if they did loose contact I wouldn't be concerned

If you still had to go through the leveling process using boards/blocks etc, why pay the price for Level-Up. Those jacks are strong enough to support the entire weight of the unit with all four tires off the ground.
I had the system retofitted to our 2010 Monty and it was done at the Trail-Air facility before being sold to Lippert. I was in the shop the entire day while they did the work and got to talk with the developer/designer of the system. There was even an early brochure on the wall claiming the benifits of the system, such a use to change tires. Guess that got lost once the Lawyers got involved.

I believe I read that the weight capacity on the rams is at least 4,000 lbs each. This was, of course, not on the Lippert site or in any of their literature. When I do the annual bearing re-pack, after loosening all the lug nuts, the entire rig gets supported by the jacks until the job is done. Where we park at the in-laws, the rear of the rig hangs over a slope, and had to place concrete pavers to land the one jack, as it reached it's extension limit when we first tried setting up in this spot. Have never had to level with blocks prior to using the leveling system.
