Noisy Water Pump

I had a very noisy water pump and one of the guys in this forum suggested that I put a mouse pad under the pump. I tried it but the pump was still noisy. I then put an accumlator in the system and placed a piece of rubber mat from my work room floor. This cobimination has greatly reduced the noise and now my furnace is louder than the water pump.

Four rubber grommets from Lowes quieted down my pump.

May have to try the accumulator. My pump sounds like a Harley convention.

The accumulator does not prevent the Harley convention. It does prevent the machine gun burst of the pump on and off by holding a gallon of pressurized water and requiring a longer run to replace the water and build the pressure. While you are installing the Accumulator you can put padding under the pump.
