I just needed a name...after several failures Thunderman was there. The wife thinks I got it from a comic book.
palebluedot, that is a terrific explanation. Makes me realize how small things are in the total scope of things.

richfaa...welll Rich is short for Richard and I retired from the FAA (federal aviation adm) and years ago when the Agency was assigning E mail addresses my GOV E mail address became richfaa @ whatever and since I am a bit feeble minded I just hung on to it because it is easy to remember.Rich came about because the FAA spends a lot of time in Oklahoma City going to school and years back you had to buy your own bottle , put you name on it, and take it into the bar ..then buy it back...Richard was to long and wrapped around the bottle so all you could see was Rich.so Rich it was.....

I too needed to come up with a name quickly. At the time (on another forum before this one ever started up) we pulled a smaller TT with a conversion van. For some reason at the very moment I needed to come up with a name, "VanMan" popped into my head. I was lucky enough to use the same one on all three RV forums I frequent. I still have the van although we have stepped up to the Montana and an F-250. Now I just can't seem to make myself get rid of that van, so I use my VanMan handle as justification to keep her - I sure don't want to have to change my user name !!

We were in the process of setting up a website for Roy and that is what we came up with and it was easy to remember.

Sissyph = When my sister and I were little girls and played house and dress up we used to call each other "sis" (we thought that sounded grown up). As we got older we quit "playing" house, became wives and mothers and it evolved into "sissy" the "ph" is the initials of my real name.

MB3 = Melinda (the wife), Barney (the driver) Bear (the crumb snatcher in the back seat) and Bud (the faithful companion). When we first got married I gave everyone we knew my hotmail address barneyhill@--- as our email address and that wasn't "inclusive" enough so we have been through several iterations and settled on MB3 - soon to add another B so we either need to stick to homosapiens to get our 3 quota or bump to MB4 to include the dog. (Brett if its a boy or Brett if its a girl ha ha) not too orginal but my best friend will not have kids of his own so he needs a namesake.

Ours isn't very original....our initials and last name. At least it's easy for us to remember and we need all the help we can get. Gypsyatheart is the name I use on another forum and is much more descriptive. And so true!

I'm afraid dave e victoria is not very original. Dave is me (as in stating the obvious); e is and where we lived south of the border for so long; and Victoria is what my spousal unit settles on after Vickie , Vicke, Vicki, and Vikki. I still ust the last one but she has decided Victoria is here preference and dislikes "Vic" a lot.
any one notice, I got to use a semicolons. Not often you get to do that on a message board
