slide problem
i'm having a problem with my last slide in my monty. I have an 05 3475 with four slides, the last slide doesn,t come all the way out, it's lacking about an inch from coming all the way out, i had my buddy down here today, he was looking for a limit switch, or if he can,t do that we'll have to adjust the slide manually with a wrench, i'd appreciate any help you could give me

Wait to do anything until an MOCer named "MIMF" comments on your problem. He was a former employee of Lippert and knows a great deal about slides. He was working for Lippert when your frame and slides were made. He is our resident expert. I know he peruses the forum regularly.

Did you check the bolts on both ends of the shaft that brings the slide in? Sometimes they shear off.

There are no limit switches. I agree it sounds like a fluid problem, (runs out on the last slide). Once that happens it gets air in the lines and will "creep" back out. The fluid level should be about 1/2" - 1" below the top with the slides IN.

tennisdg,
I have read your problem a couple of times and do not fully understand what the problem may be. Therefore, could you answer the following questions?
1. When that room extends and you are pressing the switch, does the pump suddenly stop?
2. Is the distance that the room still needs to go to seal (1") the same up the sides and across the top behind the facia trim?
3. If the pump does continue to run when the room is extended, does it sound like it is laboring and growling?
There are no limit switches anywhere in the system. Only pressure relief valves in the pump that will allow the oil under pressure to flow back into the reservoir when the pistons in each cylinder are bottomed. That is when the pump is working the hardest and drawing the highest amount of amperage from the battery.
Respond back. We'll all help you get this corrected.
Dale
