Just tripped over this info and thought I would share it. I was planning on bringing my shredder on board.

With this subject in mind....take the credit cards, library cards, drivers license etc from your wallet/billfold and photo copy each side. Put the copies in a safe place. IF you have them stolen, you can report the theft to credit card companies almost immediately. The 800 numbers are on the back.

Another FYI about identity theft. Escapees Club offers free ID theft insurance with their mail service. The benefit is $25,000 to be used for recovery.
