I Have a 2007 3400 i took mine out last year and had it tested it was bad had to put in a new one. You may want to take it out have it looked at.

Are you sure it's not a converter? All the rigs use a converter to provide charge to the batteries for your dc voltage. An inverter changes 12-volts dc to 115-volt ac.

There is a slight hum to a converter. My inverter makes a slight humming sound when the sun is providing juice from solar panels down to the inverter. I added a lot of solar for dry camping.
