MorRyde IS
Thinking seriously about upgrading to the IS w/Disc Brakes. I know the whole thing is expensive, so I would like to hear from those that have done this upgrade, would you do it again?

We had this installed and will do it again on our next Montana.
Ride control and braking is a big improvement. Easier maintenance.

Love the disc brakes and if I knew what I know now I would have opted for the IS as well.

I had that on my old one but not on this one. If/when we decide to upgrade it will have both.

I've been thinking about it also but have not checked pricing. How expensive is it? Thanks, Jim

We paid $5400 for the IS, Kodiak Disc Brakes and Dexter never lube hubs (or so they say). We feel this is the ideal system for those doing a lot of travelling around the states and on differing road surfaces. We are glad we did it as we have had absolutely no problems with our suspension. We would do it again and wish Keystone would make it an option so most could feel the same great ride as we get. I will say one other thing: The disc brake controller would not match the millivoltage of our OEM braking system so we had to install a Prodigy controller. This may have been corrected by now. I highly recommend the system AND a MorRyde pin box AND the TrailerSaver air hitch for the truck. We have all three and feel this is the best we ca do for longevity of our unit and truck. If we were the kind to trade in every year or two, we probably would not have done it.

Jim, here's the pricing I've been given:
The IS system is: $ 2500 installed
Disc Brakes with 2 piece bearings: $ 2599 installed
Disc Brakes with Nev r Lube: $ 3127 installed
I do have the Dexter Self Adjusting Brakes, but the reason I thinking of the Disc with the IS is because of no additional install price, but if I decide to add the Disc later, then they will be a install fee plus their cost.
So I'm thinking of leaving the Rally a couple of days early to get everything done while in the area to avoid another 1000 trip to have it done latter.
And thanks to everyone for their replies, you have confirmed what I already thought. Since we really like our floor plan we have no plans to change rigs, but we plan to do a lot more traveling so it looks like it would be a very worth while investment. After all we've added the Travl'r Automatic Dish, the second Air, Splendide Combo, a DVD Cabinet under the TV, the Sleep Number Bed, upgrading lighting to LEDs, G614 tires, what's a little more.

I think having it all done at one time is the way to go. 2 day install at MorRyde and they even let you stay in the rig, in their garage, overnight. Get there early enough on day one and they spring for two days of lunch. They also let me stay in their park the last night so I could depart early the next day.......

Michelle, Ann, Phil, Thanks for your replies. It is a bit expensive but I sure like the concept. Jim

Have IS, disk brakes and never lube bearings. Would definitely do it again. While work is being done they treat you like a customer should be treated.

I installed Mod/Ryde IS and disk brakes. My spension was shot after 25000 miles and with 15000 on new G614 thet were wore out. Now with IS and 5000 miles don't see any ware on tires and trailer rides better.
