All of a SUDDEN
Got up this morning, made coffee and ran electric heater all working well. Turned off when done and went to vacuum and the plug at stairwell, where we plug the heater does not work. Coffeepot plug not working either. We checked everything we can think of...GFI, Breaker box, Fuses, turned power off to entire house thinking a rebot.....nothing is working to fix problem. Do any of you great MOCers have any idea what to do next?????? The 2 plugs not working are the plug next to the stove and the plug in the step well going to bedroom. Everything else is working.......any thoughts....

Sounds like a GFCI either tripped or went bad. I can't remember exactly but it seems there were several (outside slide, bedroom vanity plug, others...) Is the microwave working? It may be plugged to a GFCI as well. Is the plug at the end of the L-counter a GFCI? It is always something simple that is overlooked.

If they are not connected to a gfi somewhere along the circuit, a guess would be a wire pulling out of the cheap duplex outlet connections at the closest one on the line from the panel. They are just pressed on, not like the ones you have at home.

Been raining?? Consider checking the electrical boxes UNDER your slides, outside. They get water in them.
By the way, when our GFI failed it made a horrible racket. Not sure they all do that, but, ours sure did, it was LOUD and nasty.

" They are just pressed on, not like the ones you have at home." Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but anything built over the past 20 years (or more?) has pressed in. That little feature was developed to lessen the money spent on electricians when building homes. Since they don't move much (hurricanes, tornadoes and earth quakes excepted) this works well. Doesn't work well in RVs though.

On our previous 2008 3400 the outside plug by the basement door was a GFCI and would sometimes trip and included some of the inside ones. Might be a good place to look since same floorplan?

Don't just do a visual check of all the breakers, fully flip them to full off and then flip them back fully to on. Many times a breaker will not move to a tripped position, even though it did trip. You probably don't need to reset the larger breakers, just the 15amp and 20amp breakers. It sounds like this is your S&B home, not the Montana, but the breakers are the same.

Our 2007 3400RL had the outside receptacle in the middle of the dining room slide. Exposed to the elements therefore rain or water will kick the GFCI if it enters the outlet. A hair dryer will dry it out if kicked (been there done that).

Ah, they are a different kind of pressed in. They are like a 12v tap, two knife blades that you press down the wire between them, not insert it like the ones in homes. Many of have had problems with these connections.

On our 2001, one of the receipts on that line was bad or not getting a good contact. I had to chase back and forth till I eliminated the right one and replaced it. Then the one in the bath sink area did the same thing. At least I knew what was happening.
