Hard to Believe
While down at the Q rally this year, I bought the MOC decal for the Montana. Last week while camped outside of Yuma at the Imperial Dam LVTA, I installed it on the rear of the trailer. We then moved to Tucson Lazydays Campground about 220 miles away. While there, Kristi asked me if I knew where the scissors were and I said probably in the junk drawer. Not there. I thought for a minute then realized I left them on the roof while attaching the decal. Oh well, worse things can happen. We the moved yesterday again, this time to Gilbert Ray Campground, just outside Tucson in the desert, about 15 miles.
After setting up and enjoying the scenery around us I looked up and this is what I saw!

I just noticed the MOC number I installed is different than my assigned number!!!

Like what's mentioned on another topic he must have a Trail Ride or MorRyde hitch pin. With my luck, I have a standard simple all metal clunker pin and those scissors would have been jostled off and probably injured somebody.
Now that you found your scissors why don't you just cut off the 1 and the 9 on the decal and swap them... heh-heh. Then when you're done, put the scissors away where they belong. Most people don't get lucky twice.

Dick, I have the standard suspension with the Mor-Ryde pin that is just about standard these days from the factory. I am still surprised the wind didn't knock the scissors off let alone any suspension movement down the road. When we drove to Gilbert Ray there is a series of major dips that I was worried about and again the scissors made the trip. Unfortunately the plastic scotch tape holder didn't make it, but I think I will live with that.
When I reviewed my invoice from the sign folks, I found out they reversed my last two numbers, so at least I feel better about that.
Art, I was thinking of just blanking out the 1 with white tape and add another 1 with black electirc tape after the 9. Whadda ya think?

I'm sure when you show the sign company it was their mistake, they will remake the decal for you, at least in my shop we would have. However my shop was a hand painting shop, so would have been a bit harder to correct. Years ago I lettered a semi trailer, with huge, like 36 inch, lettering down the side of the trailer. The driver got all the way to Indianapolis and called and said, is the back wards "N" a trade mark, or mistake--lol. Happy Trails, Steve
