bjj5633,
I doubt you have a problem. That sounds about right. Of course it also depends on where you are located (for humidity) and how often and long you have the freezer door open.

Dennis is right on. Sadly, these are not frost free models.

We just replaced out temp sensor (thermistor) but also discovered that with our fridge ( four door) you have to make a conscious effort to get the doors closed. They seemed like they closed all the way but if you push on the doors after they "seem" to be closed they usually move a bit and you hear a "click". This has reduces the amount of frost in the fridge area. Also I have found that you can tweak the temp a lot more accurately if you have a fridge thermometer. We got one that will either sit on the shelf or hang under a shelf. each time I open the fridge I check the temp, if it is a bit warm I will increase the cooling by one number and visa verse... Dave

At least you all have the number system on your refrig! All we can do is slide the stupid little slide up the fin in the frig to make it colder in the frig and freezer! I have mine at the top now and if I need to make it colder I guess I'll have to inject some CO2 into the unit somehow or buy a life time supply of dry ice! Maybe liquid nitrogen would work also! We do try to keep the door open as little as possible and make sure we hear the "click" when we close the doors also!

We've also been using the "double click" method to ensure that all four doors are closed but we still have frost build up on the top of the left side freezer. I checked the upper door seal by closing the door with a dollar bill in between the top of the left freezer door seal and the refrigerator and found that the door doesn't seal tight and our local dealer says that there is no way to adjust it.
While traveling, we always check the doors and found that they don't stay latched all the way. It's easy to tell because the "door open" alarm is very noticeable.

Possibly in a few years, should your RV Fridge fail as mine did just past the 3 year "warranty", you can consider/enjoy replacing with a 120 Volt only Whirlpool like I decided to do...Its bigger and FROST FREE!

Thanks for all the input I just wanted to make sure it wasn't unusual to have frost build up so quick.
