50 amp female to 30 amp male adapter?

Does anyone know where we can get a 50 amp locking female to 30 amp male adapter or short power cord?

I thought I found one on the PPL Motor Homes(Houston, Tx) website. Just to make sure it was the correct one I called and was assured they had what we needed. Well... it wasn't! The 50 amp side wasn't the locking type and doesn't fit into our Monty.

We want to use a 30 amp cord to connect our Honda generator directly to the 50 amp outlet on the trailer. That heavy 50 amp cord is a pain to haul out and hook up for overnight use. Unless I can find an adapter the new 30 amp cord is useless.

Chances are you won't like this.

The part you are looking for is MT-6364CRN
If you Google it, you will find they go for right around $100 (ouch!).
I bought one a couple years back at eco-vantageenergy.com for $60, but I just went to their website and all they have listed is a package that includes plug and receptical for $190 something.

Here is what I use to connect our generator (Kipor with pigtail adapter) to the rig's front socket that I added:

Hope this helps!! Be sure to note that the male end is a 30 amp park service type connector, so check your generator, an adapter made be needed.

I made a long cable from a long 30A that had a burned female connector. I bought the 50A from an electrical supply company. It's worked fine for several years now. I used a 30-50 adapter as a sample for the wire placement.

I made a 50 to 15 amp about 6 feet long. Those 50 amp plugs are pricly. I found one at a yard sale for $10.00.

Thanks tspoon and everyone else. Looks like AdventureRV has the one we need. It's about double the price we paid for the one that doesn't work. I hope Jim doesn't have a fit when I tell him the price.
