Heated Floors

Has anyone noticed the heated floor on the upper level is only working in one area? Ours appears to work near the shower only.

I didn't know there was a heated floor option. When did this happen?

The Legacy Package for 2015 has heated bathroom/bedroom floors.

I have a 2016 on order with that same option, how warm does the floor get? I agree it should heat the bathroom and bedroom since that's what the description says, not just the bathroom. Does the thermostat work well for it or is it just an on off switch.

It is a thermostat in the bathroom. Using a laser inferno meter, I checked the floor temp by the shower 90 degrees. In the bedroom, still in the 40's.

So my question is how are floors heated? Electric? Radiant Hot water?

Electric, with a Honeywell thermostat.

The first night we stayed in our 3611 I tried the heated floor in the bathroom. It did seem like it was warmer the closer to the shower I got. I haven't seen a thermostat in the bedroom for heated floors.

Jim, it is carpet in the bedroom. Linoleum in the hall/bath.

We were surprised to find heated floor in bathroom. Our walk through rep said it only worked in the bath. Not sure how it would work under carpet.

I have installed heated floor systems under laminate and ceramic. They work pretty well as heat is transferring up through a somewhat solid surface. Interested in what type system they are using that would work with carpet as it is not a very good conductor of heat. Look forward to seeing your new rig at the CPRR. Jim

So can heated toilet seats be far behind? John

The heated bath floor is heated by a pad that is about 18" wide x 36 long and is glued to the under side of the bath floor. I had the basement cover off that panel to check out a hole in the middle of my bath floor. That I had to repair my self, because the dealer wanted to remove the floor covering and i refused to allow that.

We just picked up our 3611RL and used the heated floor option. I can feel the bathroom floor is warm around the shower and most of the small floor area but haven't really paid too much attention to the bedroom floor but according to the Mrs. who is ALWAYS cold, she can definitely feel the bedroom floor warmer in the morning. There is not a thermostat control in the bedroom that I've found. I saw this option when purchasing it and thought, She'll love it. I just put on my man slippers and get downstairs for a hot cup of joe when I wake up.

Well I have to admit I was disappointed when I saw or should I say felt where the floor was actually warming up in our new 2016 3160RL. I think I would have rather had the floor in front of the toilet instead of next to the shower. I thought I felt a little heat in the bedroom in one spot that would line up with the spot in the bathroom. Maybe a pad that at least covered most of the bathroom floor. I really felt that it was not very honest advertising similar to solar prep in the unit which consists of and unregulated plug in the goes directly to the batteries.
I still like our unit just a little disappointed in some of the advertising.
