Bug Deflector flew off!

While no one was harmed, my beautiful Chrome Bug Deflector broke off last week! I was driving down the highway and 1/2 of it broke off, hit the windshield and landed in a field. Two things to report. Been on my truck for 1 1/2 years and no problems and no damage to truck. I even put extra 3m adhesive tape when I instalked it. Now the best news, I called the manufacture of the Areo Skin "Lund" and they overnighted me a brand new unit for free. The darn thing has a "Lifetime Warranty"! How great is that folks! Lol. Lady ask no questions, looked me up via Amazon Order and sent it out!

Or driving too slow and causing unforeseen turbulence and vacuum related effects which sucked it right of the hood. Gotta speed up a little!!

Send a message via Yahoo to NCFischers
you might have hit a really large bug and it shattered it.

The owners manual states that you have to clean the bugs off once in a while. Three pounds of accumlated bugs is over the weight limit

I had my bug deflector crack and went back to the store where I bought it "Action Trucks." Had my receipt and believe it or not but 9 years, and they replaced it as well I asked if I could buy some double sided tape as my window vent was coming loose, and they gave me a complete set of window vents no charge. You can not beat the service.

Being a bug deflector, and being mounted on a Ford, it got confused.

What a group of "smart Guys"! Lolrof. Ok I was not towing, doing about 73-78? Oh but it might have been caused by the Duramax , I found in my air cleaner!

I was going to make a comment on the Ford/Duramax controversy but decided just to sit back and watch the comments flow! Tom you sure know how to start off a good conversation! I have a window vent that is coming loose so I'd better get it taken care of before I get accused of hitting SOME OTHER BRAND and causing a punctured radiator or even worse imbedding it into someone's grill or windshield!

Did the Duramax have its brakes on?
