Question for the tire experts!
Ok, so I had a flat on the way to Florida last month on the Montana. I have two tires wearing on the inner and outer tread like they were run low psi. One tire is door side front axle the other is opposite door side rear axle.
I am very cautious about tire inflation and watch the wear after having new axles installed on our other Montana. These tire are kept at 80psi checked quite often during a trip.
The flat tire was taken to the local Goodyear dealer and their explanation to me was " that's typical trailer tire wear" ! Can you believe that?
They just called and said the tire cannot be fixed as it is leaking thru the tread, not the hole they "plugged", but are not going to say they were defective tires!
Did I mention the tires were Marathon and you can guess where they were made. The tires have less than 6000 miles on them and will be replaced when we return from Florida in the spring.
Has anyone ever heard the typical trailer wear theory?
