Splendide Combo Installation Questions...

I’m getting ready to install the Splendide Combo we already have in the 3400RL. Here is what I have in mind to do. I plan to use a 90° elbow in back of the unit coming directly out of the vent and then route the vent hose directly to the outside wall. The label on the wall says to place the vent on this wall according to the installation instructions of the manufacture. It’s my understanding the walls are made in such a way that they allowed for the dryer vent to be placed in certain areas without fear of drilling into a stud or anything else. I want to install the vent with as few turns & bends as possible. Has anyone else installed their vent in this same fashion? As always your suggestions are appreciated.

I first installed mine with the standard hose and vent..then the dryer stopped drying so I pulled it all apart the heat part of the dryer was clogged with lint and the hose..So cleaned it all out works great, Im going to replace the flex hose with elbo and PVC smooth and another elbo out the side to try to keep from bilding up lint. replace the outside vent with the one that has one flap and vents down like a scoop. But it took 4 years to build up.
