Height clearances

Hi all,

We are preparing for the National Rally in Goshen. We are traveling from SW Virginia and prefer back roads where possible. Does anyone know of a website where one could check bridge clearances and accessibility for our Monty or do you have this info. This will be our first trip of any distance in our new rig and our first rally. Thanks for any input.

Send a message via Yahoo to NCFischers
You can purchase a truckers atlas at any truck stop that has clearances listed or Garmin has a truckers GPS. I'll show you my atlas at the Mid-Atlantic Rally. See you there.

Yep, Like Jim just mentioned, the truckers atlas are great. I purchased my just the other day at a T/A Truck Stop here in North Florida. It's a great tool. It was right at 39 green stamps, but well worth it.....Joe

Here is a link to a web site that has low clearance listings.

We have the Garmin with the truckers option on it. Unfortunately we didn't have it applied on a recent trip and we ran into sooooo many problems because of it. Now that we know about it we have smooth sailing!!!!

We use the truckers atlas and mentioned website but have rarely had any problems. You can tell from my signature our highways of choice match yours. I think you are adding much to your adventure by taking roads other than interstates. In our opinion, anyhow. We do interstates sometimes, but prefer other roads. Good luck.

By the way I've seen that Trucker's Atlas in SOME Barnes & Noble stores, but only a few. It's Rand-McNally and is labeled "Motor Carriers' Road Atlas." The low clearance listing is in the front of the book, by state and highway number.

Here's what the current version looks like:
