Roof Leak Question
Need advice! I have a leak in my roof corner. It is at the back corner of the roof where the rubber meats the rear cap. (Of course it is in that little valley. The sealant has peeled away from the rubber about an inch or so. What is the best way to clean the rubber roofing to prepare it to be resealed with "Self Leveling Sealant" made by Dicor?
Thank!

Dawn dish detergent and water is what's normally used to clean the rubber roof. Would suggest you look at the direction on the Dictor product. As long as the area is clean, even if you just wiped it down with water, you should not have any issues.

Thanks for the reply. The directions were basic so I thought I would ask just in case. I will make the repair after the sun warms the roof up and gets it good an dry.
Sorry for the typos. My fingers have not had enough coffee this morning!

Make sure it's BLUE Dawn, not anything with a citrus scent or you will have a lot more holes in the roof from critters looking for the fruit.

I use isopropyl alcohol to prepare my rubber roof for any patches or caulking that are necessary- Scrub well, let dry and repair- JHMO- Don
