How Many Nights of Camping Do You Do

We winter near Disney world and both of us have worked or do work at Disney world. Disney world is a expensive experience but Disney does everything first class and it is worth the experience. Ft Wilderness is a first class campground but very expensive .It is on the park and the perks are the same as if you were at the Grand Floridian which is the most expensive lodging in the park.

The Ft Wilderness package is a very good buy but not cheap.We have never stayed there since we only live 20 mins from the park but have been there many times.

We do 2 weeks every year at FW, it is just the best campground experience, beautiful landscaping, plenty of recreational options, you can hop a bus to any park or Disney Springs for dinner. 2 years till retirement, plan on spending our first month of freedom there

This is our first year of long timing. We will be out around 170 days, next year probably 230.
We’re averaging $ 42 per day for Campgrounds, we stay in private parks with full hookup. We’ve had a pool at all but 1, it had a beach. We’ve been staying a week in each and that helps. Finishing this trip late October with a month stay in Gulf Shores.
Have used Good Sam & Escapees.
Staying in Nashville and that one will be our most expensive this year $70 per night.

Some years we spend half our time in the trailer, some years less. We spend four months in Florida, then during the summer we take long trips, short trips, and attend a music festival or two.

We just got back from a 61 day trip across the U.S., to California, up to Vancouver Island, and back through Canada. It was a great trip! I reserved everything I could, and we did stay at a few places that don’t take reservations and did okay.

I would say we make good use of the trailer.

We are jealous! 3 more years to go for us & then we can plan some long journeys. Currently we have a seasonal spot upstate NY, we average 50 nights there which works out to 35$ per night including electric. We try to get in another 12-18 nights before & after so we get a fair amount of use out of the camper. We do plan to do the same & get to every state & province once we are no longer part of the rat race.

We live here in beautiful Idaho, head out to the National forest, find any site with a fire ring and camp for free. Federal campgrounds are 6.00to 8.00 a night. This of course is boon docking. We go at least every other weekend. Two weeks during spring and fall. 100 to 110 nights a year

We are not retired, and we camp around 30-40 nights per year. Most of our trips are within the state and are at COE campgrounds or state parks. Prices are in the $20-$30 range depending on full hookups or not. We try to stay 10 days at a time on each trip, but DW can't get enough time off sometimes. We still have a 10 night stay at Branson to look forward to in a few weeks, and a 10 night stay at a state park in November. We had a couple 4 night stays earlier in the year and a 5 day trip to Topeka to see NHRA drag races.
We have made a 15 day trip to Daytona Beach to visit my son, and of course that expensive mouse. We hope to do a 15 day trip next year to yellowstone and mount rushmore.
As we dont want to board our 2 shih tzu's, all of our overnight trips/vacations include the camper. We just feel better being tied to using the camper than to board our girls.

Last year we did a 78 day trip and averaged $23.39 a night for campgrounds from OH to Pacific Northwest, down the coast to SoCal, across the south to FL, then back up to OH. Basic campgrounds to resorts, all full hooks ups, 50 amp, pull thru.
Earlier this year we did a 60 day trip and averaged $44.31 a night for campgrounds from OH to SoCal and an MOC rally in Ut.
Next week we leave for 27 days with $30.04 a night average for the Eastern seaboard.
Have never payed $100.00 a night to camp.

We are Long-timers, not to be confused with Full timers. I could never live in any RV all the time, that's my opinion. We go out for 180 to 200 days a year. Then I get to come home and enjoy the stick house.

We have snow birdied for four years now. We flee the cold and snow of upstate NY early Nov and don't come back till May. We stay mostly in NW GA where we have a private site on my daughter's farm. From there we venture out sometimes to the coast and sometime to FL when GA gets cold. We probably do 30 to 40 days at regular RV parks and usually pay 30-50 per night. I've never paid more than 70 but I guess I would at FW. We drag the Monty home every summer but end up not going out as our SB home is in a resort area so we staycation.

We're right around 100 nights a year, probably half of that spent at race tracks where you pay anywhere from $100 for a week (dry camping, unreserved and generally requiring a fair amount of leveling) to they Daytona infield where you're paying for the atmosphere at a significantly higher rate.

Away from NASCAR we use the state park systems a lot. Some are better than others so you have to read the reviews thoroughly (and with a grain of salt) but generally quite affordable.

I have an Access Pass but haven't used it for camping much. Hope to change that this fall when we head to the Southwest for a while. We'll also boondock as much as practical as dispersed camping seems to be much more prevalent once you get west of the Mississippi.

Military family camps are another affordable option if you have access. Like state parks, some are nice, some are just a place to put your feet down overnight.
