Furniture layout

Our Monty is a thirty foot rear lounge.

I am thinking of switching the sofa bed to the rear and moving the rockers to the side. My question is, considering the weight, is there a problem with distribution. Has anyone tried this layout?

OK, I really don't want to switch them for personal reasons (work) but Sue wants to know.

We have a 3400RL and have moved our furniture as you have described. We have enjoyed it much more in that layout and have had no problems with it in that layout.

Lots of folks have - but measure first!!! I moved everything only to find out the couch stuck out too far and the slides wouldn't clear the arms.

Did the same as Tom S with the same result so we got rid of the sofa and left recliners in slide.

We tried that layout in our 3455SA and the sofa was just a bit to wide to allow the slides to operate unobstructed

Ditto Muddflapp, our couch is staying in the back. Both recliners are in the large slide on our 2007 3400RL. There is about 4" of clearance with the couch arms and the slides. Ours is the old style sofa-bed couch with the 4" mattress. The only thing I have to be careful of is that the couch is slid all the way back in before closing the slides!!!

We also did it in ours but not all models have enough depth for the couch to clear the slides. We have an aftermarket sofa sleeper so made sure we purchased one that would work in this layout. For cold weather we return the furniture to original positions because of the furnace vent at the rear. Our couch is too low to use a diverter.

You can see our warm weather configuration here..

We did as mudflapp, however, we got rid of one recliner (Broke) and gave the other one to the Airmens Attic and got a Lazy Boy Wall hugger, best to measure first.

Harv, it probably doesn't make any difference to you although it might when you are reserving a site somewhere - Keystone's specs for the 2007 3075RL say it's actually 34' 8" long. That's just the box and does not include the ladder. Just thought you should be aware.

We also have the 3455SA. However, we were lucky in that our sofa is narrow enough to clear the slides. I understand lots of them don't. This is so much better this way. In the original configuration the person sitting in the reclinder closest to the TV, could not see the entire TV.

Thanks all, looks like I am going to have to try it anyways, preliminary measurements make it look like I have sufficient room. I don't like the idea of the rocker / recliners being on the side as they are where I get my best sleep!
