How do from Hillsboro (Oregon)

Hello from Hillsboro, OR. Just acquired our second RV, a new (2007) 3400RL. Also, at the same time bought a new 2008 GMC K3500 SLT with Duramax/Allison power. Our first RV was a 2006 Cougar 24RKS, pulled by a 2003 GMC K1500 SLE. It introduced us to RV-ing. The dealer was right, you either will love it or hate it. We loved it. So, in preparation for my impending retirement in 2009, we went ahead and got our "retirement rig." Haven't had it out yet, just having picked everything up in the last two weeks. Now we are "stocking" the trailer and doing "personal" touches. We live on 5 acres in what is known as the Helvetia area, which is, at least for now, farm land. At least we have room for the trailer and truck!!! We are looking forward to our first outing, wherever that may be. Maybe see some of you on the road or in the camp?

Happy RV-ing......in spite of the fuel prices!

Terry and Patsy,
Good choice on model, we have had ours only three months and love it. We did the same, started with a 2006 29ft Springdale and pulled it with a 2003 Yukon(not a good towing vehicle). Lots of good info on this forum and friendly helpful people.
