Yellowstone Fishing Bridge closed 2019

For anyone planning a trip to Yellowstone next year, be aware that Fishing Bridge RV park will be closed for renovations. Even if you plan to stay at West Yellowstone that closure could put additional pressure on those RV parks.

We stayed at a Fishing Bridge campground in 2012 with our then Jayco 30’ fifth wheel. We could not put our awning out, and we were so close to the trailer beside us that when they all came back at 10 pm we could hear them running around inside the trailer. They pack them in really tight. I think this campground was designed and built when campers were much smaller.

My point is that I would not want to bring our Monty in there now, and we have one of the smaller units. Most of y’all have much bigger trailers than ours.

Yellowstone is getting too busy these days. Like a lot of very popular national parks and other attractions, there are too many people coming to enjoy them. We have seen this in our travels.

Maybe they will improve on that as they do say that
"The improvements will result in redesigned sites, comfort stations and Camper Services building."

That’s kind of what I am thinking.

When we were there a few years ago, we had to pull in our slide so our neighbor could unhook his utilities. West Yellowstone/Grizzly Campground was great!
