Our vent and fill cap reside behind a locked door in the utility bay!

The key that fits your storage compartments also fits the door for the fresh water tank fill. At least this is what I think you're referring to.

Keystone (and SOB's) is trying to save $12.98 and has discontinued the gravity fill connection for the fresh water tank previously located outside the streetside wall towards the rear of the fivers. It's a sad move for many of us, but there is a not so user friendly work around via the convenience center. (I'm speaking about adding water to your fresh water tank via a 5 gal water jug when you don't have access to a spigot). Like said, if you do have an outside fill door ... a key opens it ... if you have the convenience center ... hook the hose to the water inlet and flip the valve diverting water back to the fresh water tank.

I "jury rigged" a way to fill. My vent cover pops off, so I got some clear tubing and a funnel so I can add water without hooking up to the trailer and using the main water connection. I also gave a collapsible 5 gallon water container for times when you can't use a hose. Many of our State/county parks in Calif have eliminated the ability to screw on a hose fitting.

My 2014 3402RL has 2 ways to fill the fresh water tank. One in in the convenience center. It's just a valve to direct the fresh water connection to the trailer to fill the fresh water tank. The second way to fill the tank is via the vent cap at the rear of the Monty on the side. It's a pop off cap. I'll show some pictures below:
Vent Cap from back side so you can see the attach points. Just pops off.
Vent with cap off but filter in place. Just remove filter to fill with hose or pump hose.

Jim ... innovative thoughts! Unfortunately the last year or so, the manufacturers have started dropping the vent hose right out the belly next to the fresh water tank drain line. They don't even have the exterior vent you show.

Our 2015 3160 has the same removable vent cover as Jim's. I have used this to add bleach for sanitizing the water system as well. As mentioned above by dieselguy, the othe option would be: (at least for our 3160 setup)
Water jug with short hose connected to winterizing input
Flip valve to winterize
Connect outside shower hose to city water input
Flip water valve to fill tank
Turn on cold water at outside shower
Pump til jug is dry
Rinse
Repeat

Paul Kelpe has put an addition on to the drain hose for the fresh water tank. He took the end off the existing hose, added an "L" fitting, added some additional hose or tubing to the rear end of the unit, put on a female hose connection on it with a mail plug in it. When he wants to put additive to the tank to sanitize it, he just connects a hose to it adds the sanitizer to the hose, connects the hose onto the female fitting, connect the other end of the hose to the faucet and turns it on. It fills the tank from the bottom up. Works like a charm to just add water to the tank also but without the sanitizer. When he wants to drain the tank just removes the plug and WALA the tank drains with no hassle of crawling under the rig and getting all wet when you add the cap back on when done.
