I checked the cabling and I'm 99% sure it is related to the splitters along the way block the Hertz or Satellite range that is needed. When I go direct from the Playmaker to Wally, it works fine.

Any thoughts on this, and has anyone else tried this configuration?

It’s interesting how the different systems work or don’t. Mine worked fine while testing and on our first couple of short outings. Then we made our annual trek down to AZ; for spring training and after driving on those very smooth California highways, the system wasn’t working. Oh well, put the cable out the window until I have time to take a look. So, now we’re home and I opened up the basement wall to check the connections. All were lose and are now tight and the system is working again. What was interesting when I pulled all the wall fixtures to check the connections was the one in the living room had two external connectors (cable/tv and sat) but inside, only one cable to yet another splitter. Somehow the factory system is trying to use one cable for both tv and satellite. And apparently, when tight, it works even with my Wally. If the condition returns after driving on those very smooth California highways again, I’ll probably bypass all the splitters.
