Angry TV lifter.

Our remote for the lifter of the TV will not work. We have changed batteries but it still does not work. What can we do to get our TV up?

Can you turn the TV on and see that it is on while it is in storage mode, just to make sure that receptacle has power? I’m thinking they use the same power source?

You didn't say what year and model Montana you have but I suspicion the same system is in use today. On my 2012, the lift is 12V, not 120V and there should be a real switch to raise and lower in a cabinet nearby. Mine is in the left hand cabinet against the wall of the slideout. Yours may be different.

You might be able to get a replacement remote. I don't remember the name of the manufacturer but it is here on the MOC somewhere.

If you ever think you that you have a bad remote, take your smart phone, get it ready to take a video, turn video mode “on”, aim your remote into the phone and push the on/off button several times. If working, the infrared light will show in your video. If I confused anyone, UTube has several videos on how to test your remote. That way you can at least eliminate the remote.

I agree with Carl. There should be a rocker switch in a cabinet to operate the lift. Mine is in the base cabinet to the left of the fireplace on the back wall of the cabinet. Hard to see unless you get down on your knees and look. If mine had/has a remote, I am not aware of that and have never seen it.

That is a brilliant hack! Never would have thought of that one
