The only problem with option is that the closest CAT scale to us is right at a hundred miles south. We will try again when we head south next week. There CAT scales all over southern Wisconsin and one about a half mile from the CG we usually stay... Dave

Sometimes you have to position the axles on the different segments then get out and walk to the phone post. I tell them to give me a minute to get back in the truck before they weigh it. I also tell them I'll drop the trailer and come back for a "reweigh." That way I can figure the pinweight. Then I go in and pay them and get the paperwork.

Every time I've had each trailer axle on a different segment they've given me just one weight for those two segments. Next time I'll specifically ask for four weights with separate weights for each trailer axle. I'd really like to know how much difference there is in the weight on each of those axles.
