Flight Plan filed

F ( Florida) -15 and counting . We filed the flight plan today.
Depart Driveway Nov 26th Via I-71 Direct Cincinnati. Turn left I-75 direct Dry Ridge ,Ky, Direct,Cleveland, TN, Direct Cordele, Ga, Direct Lady Lakes, Fl, Layover Lady Lakes, Fl, Direct Davenport, Fl ETA Dec 3rd. We stayed away from I-77 and West Virginia as we could not find a suitable C.G open all year. It is only 87 miles difference. Will stay at KOA's in Tn and Ga..open all year.. most we paid with the KOA card was 28.00/pull through, Full hooks, 50 amps.

Helen has started the prepare the inside of the camper routine today.

We will shut the house down and move to the 3400 Nov 24th for a early morning departure the 26..We need to cover 299 miles that day to get out of Freezing weather..we hope.. Now if the price of Diesel would come down @ 60 or 70 cents we would be real good to go....

Rich don't hold your breath on Diesel prices going down 60¢-70¢.

Otherwise, it sounds like you have a good flight plan. Have a safe and fun filled trip.

Rich, if you have time while in Lady Lake, we would love to meet you and Helen for lunch or dinner... We are quite close and spend a lot of time in that area.

Rich & Helen,
Where are you staying in Davenport? We are at the Encore Lake Magic just north of Davenport. If you decide to meet up with Bill & Helen in Lady Lake, let us know. We will join in for a mini MOC reunion.

If you are paying only $28 for a KOA, you are doing good. We just paid $38 in TN and $41 in MO with no discounts for anything. KOA is our 'last resort.'

Bill & Helen we have friends in Lady Lake and plan to lay over there for a couple of days. Plan to arrive there, weather along the way permitting, Nov 29th.Not sure where yet..do you have any suggestions??? Joyce..we will be at Mouse mountain along with Dsprik,we will get together. Tlightning...Chattanooga North KOA 28.31 with card, Coedele, Ga KOA 27.00 with card..Both are pull through, full hooks, 50 amps.. When traveling south or west for the winter KOA is our first choice Because they are open all year (most of them) they have pull throughs so we need not unhitch and we have never paid what you experienced during the winter months.

There are some great restaurants in the Square at Spanish Square.. If it is nice outside there is outdoor seating or indoors if necessary. Every evening they have Happy Hour in the square with music and entertainerment and during the weekends there is usually something going on all the time.... No matter where you go, it's a fun place.... Sometimes we just sit at Starbucks or Panera Bread and people watch.

Joyce, if you come this way, be sure to let us know.... Otherwise we will be down to see you for sure when you are feeling a little better... Thanks for your website so that I could follow along with you.

Helen..We will be staying at one of these C.G's unless we can find something better..Blue Parrot or Recreation Plantation. One of our friends who lives in Lady Lakes looked at both of them and said Recreation plantation was the best of the two but neither one of them looks good to us..

We stayed at the Cordele KOA a couple of years ago on our way back north. As I remember, it was a little tight getting out in the AM, but all in all it was a nice place to stop. At the time we stayed there, the internet was from the T/A next door. Might be different now. The park was clean and well kept, plus we were guided to our site and they made sure we were satisified with our site before they left.

We are good to depart. The weather is co-operating.Launch time is 8AM Monday morning. Hope we do better than last winter. Had that meltdown in Quartzsite then 12V problems that plagued us throughout the winter. Four days at the service center on our return in April solved all problems and we have been trouble free since.Keystone /Montana co-operated in every way. Their response was always speedy and efficient. Considering the initial problem was due to sloppy wormanship and no quality control on their part...they done good...However..just in case... I have our extended warranty at the ready and called the
800 number to confirm contact and repair authorization procedures. It is good to be prepared.

Have a safe trip. Wave a hand to your right as you pass Exit 460 in Florida, we are 20 miles west in Madison. Keystone dealer @ exit 5 on I 75 south bound side in Georgia should you need any repairs, Sun Coast RV, good people.

ENJOY! John and Val
