Landing gear

Another one bites the dust. Our traveling companions with their brand new (used maybe 4 times last year) Mountaineer's landing gear would not retract on our second morning out. We are now in San Antonio, had it checked out and Keystone will be replacing everything. Hopefully this doesn't happen again as this is their first "big" trip. We feel so bad for them, we loved our Montana so much and had such good luck with ours they bought a Mountaineer & love it, but somethings are starting to shake loose, ceiling fan fell apart the day after landing gear quit working. We'll be back on the road towards Tucson Wednesday hopefully no more bumps in the road.

We had a lot of problems with are jacks too. Had up to dealer three times, and they never fixed the problem. The problem is the 50Amp auto-reset breaker. At first the switches stop working, but remote would, then the both stop working.

Last time at the dealer the replaced the entire module, work fine at dealer, took it home, got about half way up and quit. I found by disconnect power to the module, it would work for a while.

I replaced the 50Amp auto-reset breaker with manual 100Amp Car Stereo Breaker. Haven't had any more problems since.

Hopefully you've got the slide problems mixed up with the landing gear. The landing gear motor is rated at only 30 amps per Lippert sheets, tho some do have the 40 amp ATC style fuse. Don't think I would put a 100 amp breaker in that circuit. Just sayin'.

Their problem seems to be that the legs are jammed and something is sheared.
