Suggestions for Branson
We'll be moving on to Branson later this week and looking for suggestions for RV parks.
We are in Knoxville and also would appreciate any route suggestions.

We stayed at America's best a couple of years ago, and found it to be well run and convenient. They offer shuttle service to the main drag (or used to),and have lots of info on what to see and do. Traffic in Branson is better since they revamped the street system there, but it's still a headache, so plan accordingly.

We will be at Stagecoach RV park for two nights, 25th and 26th. It's about 6 miles from downtown Branson with easy access. It is a Passport America CG, so it makes visiting some of the more expensive shows more palatable for the pocket book.
There are many others in the area also. This will be our 3rd time at Stagecoach RV Park. 1st was with the Monty 3400RL and twice with the SOB. There is a full time Mexican Restaurant on-site.

We stayed at America's Best Campground in June. The people are very nice and accomadating but the sites are really close and ours, and most others, was on a terrace. If I were a mountain goat I would have been better suited to establish my hook-ups. We are not big KOA fans but stayed at the Branson KOA a couple of years ago during the Montana Rally. Nice park, nice people, great location. Jim

We arrived at Stagecoach RV Park today. My past two stays were in a pull through. i This time I'm in a back-in and I have to say that I feel I have more room.
All sites are cement, FHU, and picnic table. The Passport America rate is $20 a night. You can't beat that, I'd wager. We are in site #28, for at least two nights, maybe a third - don't know yet.

We have extended our stay in Knoxville for a few days then it's on to Nashville for the weekend. We will probably be in Branson next Tuesday. At least thats how it looks now.
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll be checking out the different parks online hopefully tomorrow.

p.s., the restaurant on-site USED to be really good. The owner's of the CG ran it and had a fantastic breakfast menu. They have rented it out to a "Mexican" restaurant entrepreneur. We did not enjoy it at all. We thought the food was bland. We did not opt to eat breakfast there this morning. Instead, Earlene made biscuits, sausage gravy, and eggs. (Much better)
The CG, is as stated previously and is where we will stay whenever in this area.
I've handed out a few MOC Cards today, and in the past few weeks. Hope they all show up on this forum.

Wild Horse is campground host at the city run park there--email or pm him and he may have other suggestions too.

Shucks! Just drove through their today. Wish I had known that.
Although conveniently located, it's not somewhere I would want to stay. We also stopped and talked to a gentleman staying there and he said that you had to watch the river as it was prone to flooding with high rains.
Not for us.

We spent a month at Ozark Country Campground (RV Park?) in Branson. It was nice, quiet, and not too far from downtown, just a couple of miles. They do Passport America (when we were there, anyhow) and, if I recall, have a veteran's discount (ask about that).
