2001 GMC 2500HD w/Duramax mated to 3295

Hey folks - new to the list as we are about to make our final decision on the new 5er. We definitely want to upgrade to the 3295 (a UVW around 10,500#). Before we make the leap though, I'm wondering if anyone else tows with the same 3/4 ton? The Duramax is capable of towing around 15,000# (loaded) and I'm guessing the 3295 (loaded with our stuff) would come in around 14K. Any thoughts? Any issues? Note: We also have the short bed, crew cab, with a Reese 16K dual pivot and slider. How's turning ability, towing capability, etc.? Any causes for concern before we make the leap?
