Modify hydraulic slide system?

Is it possible to modify or upgrade the hydraulic slide system to allow opening only the slides you choose? Such as when parking somewhere and wanting the dinette slide out to eat lunch, or bedroom slide only, to sleep?🙈

My 2012 came with shutoff valves for each slide. I have to believe the subsequent years did too. My valves are in the same panel as the Level Up controls.

I know older rigs without the valves were capable of having them added. A Search should find that modification.

My 2015 Montana 3440RL already has that ability. We have four slides and each can be independently opened and closed. The bedroom is the only slide that is electric. The other three are hydraulic. I can shut off any or all with the control knobs that are found in the LevelUp control box. Hope this helps.

My 2003 and 2006 also had the option of opening whatever slide you wanted.

I have the 2014 model 3402rl same as you and you can select which slide you want out. I am not looking at mine now but i believe it's in the level-up control box. This has been out for several years.

Well slap yer grandma I looked at the control pad and it has 3 rotary switches to allow turning off the slides labeled: DS, ODS1, ODS2. Although I have 4 slides? Hmmmm.... And the control panel inside the coach has slide controls marked Slide Room. And. Bed Slide. More Hmmmm.... makes me wonder if the bed Slide is electric? Only had this 5er since August, haven’t had chance to travel yet in this one and still learning.

our 4th hydraulic is the wardrobe, we can control the dining, kitchen and bed slides with the dials. Our SOB had thumb screws in the hydraulic area you could screw them in our out to control all the slides. hard on the fingers in the cold weather

You should have 3 hydraulic slides and 1 electric slide. The electric slide more than likely will be the bedroom and have cables on the sides of it. Hold down slide room button to open all 3 hydraulic slides, then use bed slide to oped bedroom slide. DS= Door Side. ODS1 & ODS2 = opposite door side, slide #1 and slide #2.

Just not satisfied with the knobs.

With the newer models and the mix of electric slides things have changed some, but lots of us still have the old slide system with no real individual controls other than the knobs talked about here. I dunno about you, but the idea of running in and out to open and close manual shutoff valves seems just sad for what we pay for these things. I posted this mod several years ago, but it still applies if you have the confidence to do the mod. I have 3 slides and chose to electrically control 2 of them. These are basically 12 VDC blocking valves and bases you can get at about any hydraulic supply house, 2 switches sourced at Autozone, and some made up hydraulic hose. I made the switch box out of some wood around the house some spare paneling found at a dealer. I can stop 2 of my slides standing right at the control panel that has the main in / out switch for the slides without doing the "teaberry shuffle" going in and out.

Your bedroom slide is electric same as mine. Your 3 hydraulic slides inside your rv work off of one button and your bedroom off of another. You can only control the 3 hydraulic slides individually outside in the hydraulic control panel. The bedroom works only inside at the control panel.
