Newbie on In Command Issue

Thank you in advance for any replies.

I read somewhere that the In Command will lock itself out if you are attached to a 12v source?

My 2019 3721RL requires me to extend a slide out at least 1/2 way to get to the bathroom as the door won't ope otherwise, yuck but I love my floor plan.

If I stop on the road with my truck running, does this mean I cannot operate the slide with my iPhone. It says I have to go inside RV and manual remove the lock feature.

Is there a way around this or am I reading some thing wrong. ?

Thank You again

Allan

There is a button/icon on the right side of the screen that says “unlock” which will allow you to operate all of the in command functions.

One other thing you should know. A friend and I both bought 3720 or 3721 last year and made the dealer put regular hinges on that door before we would take the rig. Others have done it since. The door does open into the toilet, but that's no big deal compared to having a slide partually out by the side of the road when you need to use the bathroom. Also, you might check, mine came with the magnetic door catch attached too low on the bedroom door so that when the slide closed it popped off the magnet. I just moved it to the top portion of that wall that does move and no more issues.

The Unlock is on the RV Screen. The BCM Bluetooth may take time to setup afterwards. The system has a low voltage issue also and requires a minimum of 10.2 V to function if you are on straight battery. With yours being a newer model, they may have modified the BCM to work better than the preceding two years.

So does this mean as long as it is hooked up to my truck I can't unlock in from the iPhone ? Or can I unlock it in the RV and leave it unlocked ?

Thank You again

What a great tip. My wife already irritated about that. So, since I have paid and taken delivery (even tho its still at dealers til next week) putting hinges on the door will be on me.

I assume i will have to recess and router the door and the jam in order to install the hinges. Does this make sense to you or is there an easier way. Thank You again

Mine is a few model years older than yours but the “Travel Lock” is only on the inside unit. It keeps you from opening your slides or awnings while traveling down the road. Kind of like a butt dial insurance policy

I have never tried using the phone after unlocking the travel lock but will on my next trip....

As Butchy replied, it's a safety thing when you initially hook up to the truck and move the trailer, it goes into "Travel Lock". I have to unlock it from the screen and then the IPhone will work. It stays unlocked until I move again. Don't know if it's a signal for initial hook up or a movement signal.

Same with my model, travel lock from screen only.
