This might be helpful to some of you who are still traveling . Just put in the zip code you want and it will give you the prices in that area

One of the stations jumped to $5.69 today. The other 2 stations will follow within 11 hours. They have it down to a science.

NOW we are going up... After several weeks of leveling off @ $4.75-$4.89, we have now jumped to $4.96 and higher. Gas took a big jump here today. $4.17 to $4.34. I can see momentum building again. Bad, bad, bad...

Man I wish I could find some cheaper fuel! We had to fill up again today at $4.999! Total was $240+. This is really starting to hurt. This is in Bakersfield, CA as of July 8.

We are still holding at 467.9 - 479.9 but gas is crazy. Any where from 411.9 - 434.9, within just a couple of miles of each other.
For what it's worth, I don't wait until the tank is empty. I fill up around 3/4 full or just under. That way I don't feel the pinch of a complete fill up and with prices the way they are they just might drop(LOL). I only drive local for the most part now that I'm completely retired and not doing real estate photography any more so 1/4 tank lasts me 1 - 2 weeks.

"Don't worry... Be happy..." I should write a song...
Diesel here actually dropped 9¢ to 4.89 from 4.98 yesterday. Gas remains at 4.37 (filled up the boat today).

I saw gas under $4.00/gal on Monday. Thought maybe it was getting ready to drop a little and have been watching but it seems to be staying put in our area. I haven’t heard what the cost is per barrel lately either.

Diesel here in Bakersfield, CA is holding steady at $4.999! With the price per barrel going down you'd hope to see some decrease soon.

Coming out of New Orleans on I-10 and all the way to Lake Charles, saw diesel for $4.48 to $4.55. I filled up at $4.55 this morning.
I heard on the news today, if you want to believe them, that the price will drop 25 cents by September.

Wayne, it is my feeling that we will be seeing much lower than 25¢. We have already see that in a week. Diesel here $4.75 from $4.98 since last week at this time. Gas today $3.75 from $4.26. I think people are changing their habits permanently and when the "driving season" come to an end after Labor Day, demand falloff - already happening here in June and July - will really accelerate.
I will be really bold and predict $2.99 gas and $3.50 diesel just after Labor Day...
