Furnace Question
Let me qualify this question with the fact I am a beginner and not sure how things work yet. I went yesterday to plug in our Montana for the first time to power to test a few things. We have 2 furnace controls, one by the living room and one by the bedroom. Do these furnace units need to have propane running with them as well as power in order to run optimally? The furnace control in the bedroom I couldn't even get to kick on so was wondering if propane was needed as well?
Thanks for any advice you can give!

Not sure your model, but I believe the controls in the bedroom are for AC only. Additionally, the furnace and blower will work without shore power, propane only.

There is an option for furnace on the control panel in the bedroom, also the one in the living room also has a heat pump option.

Use the living room furnace control, and yes you need the propane and battery power to run the furnace

Thank you. So what is the control panel in the bedroom primarily used for?

In ours, the thermostat in the main living area controls an AC unit and furnace. The second thermostat in the bedroom controls that AC unit and the heat pump.

There are also breakers behind the square panel on the outside of the RV. My neighbors furnace wouldn't work and inside breakers were ok. I checked the breaker and it had tripped so I flipped it on and the furnace began working.
