2006 3500RL Plumbing

I get a terrible sewer odor from the sink in the bedroom. I have been told that the sink may be plumbed to the blackwater tank. Does anyone have any info on that? Brushing the teeth is a odorous experience!!

Since you have a 2006 unit I would think that you developed this odor and did not have it when you got the unit, which would rule out the plumbing being wrong. I would put some water and soap in the tank and let it wash the tank while traveling and if that improves the odor, you know the problem is a dirty tank. Also, are you closing the grey water valves when dumping the black water tank? The trap under the sink should also block any odor from coming up from the tank. You could pull out the trap and clean it. Hope this helps.

As powerwagon says, I doubt it goes to the black tank. There should be no odor coming back through the trap, unless it's the trap itself. Might be worth removing it and give it a good cleaning.

Thanks for responding. I did call Keystone Customer Service; the bathroom sink and the washer (if we had one) are plumbed to the black tank. I asked how to get rid of the odor and they said to check the ptrap. There is none installed on this camper. If I take pictures and talk really nice, Keystone will fix this construction mistake.
