Split linoleum !

I didn't find where to post this about Mountaineers, but it is a generic question that could happen to any model.
My question is this. Has anyone seen or heard of opening up a trailer in the spring and finding the linoleum split right down the center , almost the entire length ? I'm a Montana owner and next to me on a seasonal site is a Mountaineer owner. Just wanting to know if anyone else has heard of this happening. I have never heard of this happening in any trailer of any type ! He said his insurance is going to cover the replacement of the floor, but it sure started the wheels spinning in my head !

Never heard of that before. We did have the linoleum floor come up in a Cardinal that we had b/f our Montana's though. I dont think they glued it down properly..(or stapled it)

We traded TT this last fall. We found out that our "old" TT did as you say-split right down the middle from the cold. We also found out at church that one our friend's 5er did the same thing. The dealer said that the cold spell we had in Jan the trailer probably had a sudden jar and that could cause the floor to do that especially if it had a nail head causing a little stress. The dealer said that it was not unusual and that they have had to have floor man fix many of them.

I would say as it was glued to the floor but also it had silcone around the base cabinets as some installers do this as it stops bugs etc but the floor won't move with the heat and cold so break .. the problem was the silocone most probley

Thanks for the replies.
Looking under the linoleum where it split, we saw no signs of any glue or staples. just bare wafer board.
Thanks again for the responces.

I have the 3400 and noticed when we opened the 5er last week that the vinyl flooring in the kitchen, entry area and laundry closet loosen up around edges but no splitting. Has anyone seen this happen? Any thoughts on this? We are in upstate N.Y. an it is cold in the winter. My first thought was that water line may have broke and water leaked out but the lines all seem to be full of antifreeze. I'll find out in about a week when I drain the system and add some water to check for leaks.
