DC loss on lights, awning, ect.

Picked up our new 3665RE Friday. I have lost 12V power to trailer. The inside fuses are all OK, in-line fuse for slide outs is OK. Where is the in-line fuse for the rest of the trailer?

Also, on the remote for slides, ect. What is the purpose of the center, top button, above the Security Light button?

Any help would be appreciated this Sunday morning. I was a little disappointed with info material that came with fiver.

Bill

If you've lost all 12 volt power, I would suspect a bad connection on or near the battery. Check the chassis ground to the battery also. This is assuming you're just operating on 12 volts. If on a shore line, it may get more complicated.

I have lost "some" areas: all DC lights (inside & out), awning power. Slides, front & rear jacks, still work. I know location (and checked) of 15 am fuse for slides located directly above battery. I need to locate second inline fuse for other items that are out. I thought battery had drained, but it hadn't so I recharged it completely. Found it takes a fully charged battery to operate front jacks.

Thanks for thoughts.

Bill, Also since you just got the rig and may be checking things out, check out the battery cut off switch in the service bay. It is usually on the right (rear wall) of the service bay. It looks like a red plastic key. If it inadvertently got turned that would kill your 12 volt in the rig. And as SlickWillie said check the battery connections. Do all the simple stuff first.. Dave

15 amp fuse for slides? They should be on a 50 amp auto reset 12 volt automotive type breaker on the bulkhead above the battery. Seems I recall the rear electric jacks are on a 15 amp circuit, so maybe that is what the fuse is for.

You might want to kill the power (ac and dc)and check the distribution panel for loose connections also. Many on here have had problems with loose terminals in the panel.

And today's winner for 1/2 of a large Tootsie Roll from Cracker Barrel is Dave! The battery disconnect switch was in "Disconnect off" which I now know means the battery and not the switch position. Thanks for tip, Dave.

Have about decided the remote top, center bottom is a remote check power button; cause no noises are heard on the trailer when pressed. I found a reference here on forum to remote mfg info, but no description was shown for that bottom.

Thanks for the help, I traded in a 2001 Prowler w/2 slides for this beauty. It didn't have the bells & whistles.
