Just installed 'Jack'. Super simple and I am 200% elated with it's performance. I totally recommend getting one to anyone with the bat wing thing. Clears the forward air conditioner with room to spare. I am a happy camper with this purchase.

Well, you all convinced me to try this. I just ordered mine from RVUpgrades.

I still have the original TV in my 2004 Montana, 27" tube. How do I tell for sure if it is a digital TV or not?

PackerFan - if you turn on your tv and it displays a picture and sound, you probably have a digital tuner built in the tv. If you get just snow, probably just an analog tuner.

I tried turning it on again and it is just snow and not sound. Guess that means it is time to upgrade to a new TV.

Anyone have any good tips on how to mount a flat panel TV in the opening from the old tube TV? Opening was for a 27" TV.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated!

I have the Jack kit to install. I have one question before I climb up on the roof. In the kit is a power supply and some other black electrical component. If you remove the existing Sensar bat wing, do you simply connect the existing coaxial cable to the Jack and use the existing wiring and booster on the Montana? I assume so, but just want to be sure.

RKassl, Yes, that is about all there is to it. There is a packet of silicone grease to put in the connector before you reinstall the cable that is about all there is to it.

Just installed the "Jack" antenna on my 2009 3400RL. Sorry to say but I am returning the antenna. Actually picked up less channels. The channels were clear but not as many channels as my original antenna. I did the installation twice just to make sure I installed it correctly, but in my opinion, it is not worth the cost.

Update on my "Jack" antenna. After speaking with RVupgrades.com regarding returning the "Jack" I tried to install it once last time. This time I installed the antenna in the opposite direction and it worked much better. I will be keeping the "Jack" antenna and apologize for any confusion on my part.

We added the batwing to our antenna. I hooked it up just like they said on the instructions. To me there was not any difference in the reception. Am I missing something or is it just a con into getting you to buys something? Have a Good Day
