Fireplace Repair

On our last trip, the fireplace would run for a couple of minutes and then shut off. When we got home, I called my dealer and they said that they would check with Keystone. They called back with the service number for Dimplex. I called them and they said that they would send a replacement part either to me or my dealer. The part is a new bottom that has three times the louvers as the original bottom allowing for more air flow. I opted to have the part sent to me as I am quite able to remove and replace 12 screws. The job took about 10 minutes. My dealer, Hawleys RV in Garner, NC and Dimplex were very helpful and easy to work with. Good service needs to be noted just as poor service does.

Great report on good service. No one can promise perfection, but it is nice to have cooperative correction.

Air flow was the problem? Does that mean the old part did not allow enough air flow? That reminds me that I should check out my fireplace to make sure the air flow is not being compromised. I hope I remember, what with summer now here I won't use the hear switch but might use the lighting/ambiance switch.

Thanks for the reminder.
