Freezer warmed up..

My new 361p Everest has been hooked up to 110v old the furnace on low for the cold season. I also keep a small elect heater going for good measure. On a couple of occasions the house circuit breaker popped and was reset. The 5er has never run out of propane. However, last night I noticed that the freezer had water in the bottem and was not working. None of the lights indicated a problem. I cycled it from elect to gas and back again. Now it is operating normal at about -5 degrees. Is this a problem or quirt in my system? I hope it stays on and will be fine, just not sure why it went haywire!!

Sounds like the switching goofed if you were on Automatic mode. I am assuming you found it in the off mode and restarted it.

I have never turned the refrigerator off in any trailers I have had.
I keep it running between trips and also when traveling. I just set it for automatic and it does the switching as needed from gas to electric and back. The gas mode saved our bacon(literally)during the recent hurricanes and several power outages.

Several reason's why I do this. We use the camper refrigerator as an extension to our house unit. Also, our visitors are housed in the Monty when we have company.

The main reason I do it, is because I had a fellow tell me that it would prolong the life of the unit. I can't say this is true, but it beats the heck out of the hassle of taking stuff in and out of it.
