All your recliners are too fat!
My recliners need replacement. Neither was original to the Mountaineer, and the one on "my" side was in such bad shape that I had to put an old house recliner into RV service.
But the space behind the slideout is just over 32 inches wide, and to put either recliner there for travel requires me to take the back off and turn the recliner sideways.
Has anyone else had to replace their skinny recliner? Were you able to find somewhere with a good selection of recliners narrower than 32 inches? Buying a larger trailer is not an option...

We found Lazy Boy recliners that fit. You still have to turn them sideways to retract the slide out .

Bought bonded leather stress free recliners from furniture outlet for 350 that are 32" wide and come with footstool that has storage. Works for us. John

We replaced with Lazy Boy recliners but had to turn them side ways when closing to travel.
Moved them to the slide out next to the dinning table. No more turning to travel. Put couch across the back window - after removing the drapery bracket below window and removing the lower section from the sofa bed - from the back of the sofa ( we never used the sofa bed.)

We were able to switch our sofa and the recliners and when we close the slides we have about two inches to spare. So far our recliners have not givin' up the ghost but when they do we'll be getting Lazyboy Wall Huggers and we'll have no problem then either since they are in the slide and have nothing to interfere with them.

I must have written this post before coffee. I know the travel position of the chairs is sideways from the sitting position. Meant to say my recliner is so wide it will not fit this way, so I have to turn it sideways to sideways so it's back in the sitting position, with the back removed and lying flat on the seat.
Heck, I'm writing this before coffee, too. I'm outta here.
