another Monty question?

Do you use cw spring pins on the landing gear of your Monty, if so what size are they? I know they come in 3/8, 5/16 and 1/2 inch I was wondering what size the montys use or if different models use different sizes? Thanks Jack P.S. I did a search on them but could't find any information on the subject.

Wagonmaster, I installed a set of spring pins on my landing gear. Mine are the 5/16. They sure are better to use than the old pins.

I also use the snapjacks on ours. However, I believe ours are the smaller 3/8 pins. The landing gear changed on later models. Ours has the holes from side to side and the newer ones have the holes fore-aft. I'm not sure if that's when the holes changed but that would be my bet. Wagonmaster, you didn't say what year your Montana is so I'm not sure which you have. Ours is an "early" 2003, "early" meaning before they went to the flat upstairs floor. I don't know for sure when they changed the landing gear. Maybe 2004 or 2005. If unsure, maybe you could buy a bolt in each size from a hardware store and see which one fits the holes. That's a lot cheaper than getting the wrong size snapjacks.
