Jeana, Hi, my name is Sandy Thomas, Tom's fiance. We live in Gettysburg. I moved here from the York area 3 years ago. I want to volunteer my help for the rally. We live just 1 mi.north of town. So if I can be of any help, let me know... It's great to hear so many people are interested. We reserved lot #20 last fall after hearing about the plans. It will be our first rally and we're both excited. We've only had our Montana since last April. Thanks for your time planning this event.

Thanks very much for the nice note. I appreciate your willingness to help with the rally and I'm sure there will be opportunity. We are working on the details now, so please plan on hearing from us in the coming months. Again, thank you!

Rick and Jeana,

We will attend the Gettysburg rally and have made reservations this date with the campground. We have reserved site 70. You can add us to the group listing. We look forward to the experience as it will be our first rally since retiring and meeting some new folks. Thanks Rick and Jeana for your info response. We are also available to assist where needed. Whenever you add the sites to the initial listing as stated in the intro paragraph, Bingo, Cathy, DD's and the zoo animals (dog and cat) will be in site #84. Our first rally also! Looking forward to the fellowship and meeting other MOCers.

I was parusing the CG map to see where all the names were going to be as per the posted site #'s.....several #'s are not there....it appears as if the map is out of date or some of us are in the wrong wing of the institution....???

Don,
From what I was told by the campground, I would say that we will take pretty much all of the sites on the left of the playground as well as all of the sites on the right. I picked 84 so I would have a partial view of something out the back. I will look for you on the swings at the playground!!!!

When we made our reservations they said that the MOC would be in site # 1-85.She also said that a few of those numbers were occupied by seasonal campers and that some of them were not long enough or wide enough for the larger units . When we stated that we hade a 3400, 39 feet 6 inches long with 4 slides that narrowed our choices. If you have one of the larger units you may want to call for reservations now..

DW and I are going down to the CG tomorrow and will post which site we are going to be on.........btw , the sites that all are on except those on the left on the way in , are known as the sun deck........no trees on these sites.......the rest of the cg is all wooded . We have camped there many times and really like the owners.

On another note. I have a list of activities for 08 and on our dates they are having a duck derby back on the creek.........for those that don't know what that is........it is usually done for charity .........you donate for a duck (rubber) and if your duck finishes the race first you win a prize........but the main point is all the procedes go to charity..........anyways......see you all there.

Responding to 6.7 CTD's comment about the sun deck lots, we apprently have one (lot 70) for pullthru and we wanted 50 amp but it was determined those were not available. Being from the other sun deck - FLA we will be happy to be at our first rally!!

Roger, can we bring our own duck?

Dennis,
No worries, that is why we are equipped with awnings, A/C, and I always carry a high velocity fan in the basement also. For some reason I don't think the sun deck at Gettysburg is going to be comparable to Florida though!! I can't wait to see the full itenerary, guess I should do a little web-browsing to see if any events are scheduled in town for that weekend?? Or if anybody knows all knowledge will gratefully be absorbed!!
